Hi Fiona,
Plants have energy just as we do. This energy is known by some as Devas or plant spirits. The plant spirits are there to help the plants and it's this energy we can feel if we allow ourselves to be 'in tune' with plants. I really can't tell you why a plant would feel angry perhaps it could be because they have had a bad experience with humans in the past. Plants can feel our intentions too such as chopping a tree down, pulling out a plant by the roots, fertilizing it, transplanting it and so on. So, for example, if we have the intention of fertilizing a plant and we could be overfeeding it then a plant would try to tell us to leave it alone. Plants such as those used for medicine or food don't mind having their leaves picked or the entire plant pulled out by the roots because that's their purpose for being here. It's an interesting subject and one I teach in The Home Herbalist full course. Quite often I will hug a tree and when I harvest a herb or vegetable I give thanks to it. It's a matter of being in tune with nature and understanding that we are all one.

Warm regards,
Belle

Hi Belle,
Yes the feeling I got was more like don't touch me. Can you explain in your experience with plants, why you think that a plant would exhibit a feeling of anger, or don't touch me? I've always looked at plants I guess as being beyond expressing our type of emotions, unless maybe mirroring something within ourselves. It is a bit difficult for me to see a plant as feeling negative.
Can you put some light on the subject?
Thanks.
Kind regards,
Fiona

Hello Fiona :)
As I've said above, I've only experienced an 'angry' tree on a couple of occasions. What happened for me was that a feeling of anger came over me while I was right beside the tree or while touching it and when I walked away from the tree that feeling left me. I think we all feel energies in our own way. The heavy energy you felt or one that did not agree with yours could be because the energy field around the tree was probably more of a 'don't touch me' or 'don't come near me' type of energy. My experience was one of definite anger.

Warm regards,

Hi Belle,
I've never heard of an "angry" tree or plant before. What do you mean by this. I have had experiences when I thought I should not go over a tree, like a heavy energy or an energy which did not agree with mine. Is this what you mean?
Thanks,
Fiona.

Hello David, I communicate with devas and spirits in much the same way as you do, by feelings associated with them. As for 'angry trees', I have experienced them too but only on a couple of occasions. I love it when I 'feel' a tree is contented. We are blessed to be able to 'tune in' to plants this way :)

All the best,
Belle

Hi Belle,

Great site. I am in absolute agreement with what you've written in this post. While I can't claim to physically see or have communicated with tree devas and plant spirits in a very vocal or verbal fashion, I get very strong feelings associated with them. Sometimes my partner and I encounter 'angry' trees. It's quite an experience. Most times plants help me maintain positivity in life.

Cheers,
David
